New project ‘Program of assistance and self-help against alcoholism among adolescent girls in Niksic’

SOS Hotline Nikšić has started the realization of the project ‘Program of assistance and self-help against alcoholism among adolescent girls in Niksic.’ The project is being realized with the support of the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro from the fund for allocation of a part of the revenue from games of chance.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the young, especially girls in Niksic to become agents of changes through the prevention of use and misuse of alcohol and other narcotic substances, and to promote healthy lifestyles among the young. Target group of the project are the young between 15 and 25 years.

As a part of the project it will be formed an SOS cafe, online service for assistance and self-help for the young having issues regarding misuse of alcohol, then a group for providing peer education against alcoholism, appointed young ambassadors for the prevention of use/misuse of alcohol among the young, organized sessions for peer education through entertainment and promotional events. Also, the appropriate promotional material will be printed out.
