The National Hotline for victims of domestic violence received 1671 calls between 1st of Septeber and 29th of February.
The National SOS Hotline delivered 2155 services to the victims. The vast majority of services, 878, were delivered in area of informing, 725 services were delivered in area of confidential conversations, 266 in area of mediation between institutions, 64 in area of urgent help intervening, 158 in psychological counseling, 14 refferals, 27 shelter requests, etc.
428 calls came from Niksic, 360 from Podgorica, 156 from Bar, 123 from Herceg Novi, 109 from Berane, 104 from Kotor, 100 from Pljevlja, 63 from Budva, 53 from Bijelo Polje, 52 from Danilovgrad, 46 from Cetinje, 27 from Rozaje, 19 from Ulcinj, 8 from Mojkovac, 6 from Kolasin, 4 from Andrijevica and Tivat, 2 from Plav, and 1 call from Zabljak, 1 from Petnjica and 1 from Pluzine.
The National Hotline for victims of domestic violence is being coordinated by SOS Hotline Niksic. It is free of charges and available 24 hours per day, 7 days in week. The servise is first and most important support contact for victims of domestic violence. Consultants who work on the line have task to strengthen the victims, to answer on her needs and to support her to gain the control over her own life. Servies aims to support the victims through following areas: emocional support, informing about the victims rights, providing help in urgent situations, providing services in psychological counseling, etc.
